CSU-Hayward talks to highlight comics, 'Florentene'

Israeli filmmaker Eytan Fox will explore television and cinema in Israeli society at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 28. He will show clips from his television series "Florentene," which won first prize in the 1997 Jerusalem International Film Festival. The last lecture, at 4:30 p.m. May 12, will feature Rhoda Helfman Kaufman, a Cal State Hayward professor, who will read and discuss excerpts from writings that reflect the experience of Jewish women authors in the 20th century. The Salon Series explores ideas and creative expressions in Jewish culture. All lectures are free and take place at the university's Studio Theatre. For information, call (510) 885-3161.
