North Bay Jewish film series set to begin Thursday
Argentina is the setting for a love story between a mature couple in the 1996 film "Autumn Sun," which will open the Sonoma Coun It will be followed on Oct. 28 by "Yidl Mitn Fidl," a 1936 classic filmed in a Polish stetl. Molly Picon stars as a young woman
"Flying Camel," slated for Dec. 9 at the Raven Theater, came out of Israel in 1994. It is a comedy that explores the friendship between a Jewish history professor who lives in a junkyard shack and an Arab garbage collector. When the pair is joined by a nun who parks her van in the junkyard, the trio embarks on the professor's dream of restoring the "Flying Camel" statue. All shows start at 7:15 p.m. The Raven Theater is located at 115 N. St., Healdsburg. The Sebastiani Theater is at 476 First St. E., Sonoma. Tickets are $7.50 per show, $25 for the series.
