S.F.-based Web bank names head of its Israel office

JERUSALEM (JPS) - San Francisco-based online investment bank WR Hambrecht & Co. announced this week the official appointment of
The director of the bank's Israel representative office is Joshua Segal, formerly with the venture-capital firm Global Catalyst

WR Hambrecht & Co. has already worked in an underwriting capacity with Israeli high-tech companies and the venture fund has invested in several start-up companies.

Tel Aviv joins San Francisco, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Seattle as the firm's newest location, which is backed by such financial industry leaders as American Express and Fidelity Ventures.
