Where do Hebrew words come from? Kids find out Demonstrating how much fun it can be to learn the alef-bet are Tal Tamir and Sigal Shamay performing Monday before an audience of preschool kids at San Francisco's Hebrew Academy."The Land of Hebrew Letters" is an interactive show written by Tamir and Shamay. The Israeli natives sang children's songs arranged by Gil Nagel. They dressed up in costumes designed by Makabit Shalit. They danced and they told stories. Shamay (above right and below left) and Tamir also appeared at six other Bay Area schools and synagogues during the week, under the sponsorship of the S.F.-based Israel Center.
