Single woman is concerned about finding a Jewish mate
Susan Blumberg and Joel Crohn
Dear Docs: I'm a 35-year-old Jewish woman. I have a good job as an analyst for a mutual fund company, I have good friends, I'm healthy, active, athletic, and I think most people find me attractive. It may sound clichéd, but I really feel my biological time clock ticking and would really like to be married. A lot of my friends already are married and have a child, and I have a couple of friends working on their second marriage. I would like to marry a Jewish man, but I'm not sure how big a priority I should make it. Everyone knows it's harder for women in their 30s to find a suitable mate than it is for men, and Jews make up just 2 or 3 percent of the population. I'm afraid if I hold out for a Jewish man, I may just end up alone.
