Greenhood, Herbert In San Francisco, July 19. Age 88. Husband of Martha Greenhood. Father of Dr. Jay (and Debbie) Greenhood and Dr. Gary (and Jackie) Greenhood. Grandfather of Adam (and Heather) Greenhood, Rachel Greenhood (and her fiancé Jeffrey Rosenthal), Eric Greenhood and Dana (and David) Meyer. Pediatrician. Volunteer for civic organizations. Funeral services were held at Home of Peace Cemetery Chapel, Colma. Donations to charity of your choice.

Stroe, Mara In Los Angeles, June 26. Age 79. Wife of the late Angelo Stroe. Mother of Noah (and Dinah) Stroe of San Francisco, Miguel (and Janice) Stroe of Israel and Anthony (and Penina) Stroe of Los Angeles. Sister of the late Yasha Zisman, Moshe (and Malca) Zisman of Herzylia, Israel, and Sioma (and Asia) Ziman of Montreal, Canada. Sister-in-law of Lya Zisman. Grandmother of Leo Stroe and Sarah Stroe of San Francisco, Nina (and Eliash) Freeman of Jerusalem, Isaac Stroe, Sofia Stroe, Elianna Stroe and Duvi Stroe of Mitzpeh Yericho, Israel. Born in Basarabia, a former region of Eastern Europe. Survived Nazi occupation of Rumania. Immigrated to the United States via France, Israel, Ecuador and Peru. Donations to World ORT, 817 Broadway, Ninth Floor, New York, N.Y.; American Society for Technion, 55 East 59th St., New York, N.Y., or any Jewish organization that promotes unity and community and ahavat Israel.

Tessler, Kenneth In San Francisco, July 16. Husband of Marian Tessler for 23 years. Father of Stephen (and Amy) Tessler, Michael (and Mary) Cohen and Graeme (and Laura) Cohen. Brother of Gerald (and Sue) Tessler and the late Harvey Tessler. Grandfather of Scott and Jenna Tessler, Eric Cohen, Michelle Cohen, Gabriel Cohen and Zoe Cohen. Oral surgeon and past chief of oral surgery at St. Luke’s Hospital. Funeral services were held at Hills Of Eternity Memorial Park Chapel, Colma. Donations to the charity of your choice preferred.
