Bergmann, Gerhard. In Torrance, April 12. Age 89. Father of Judith (and Lawrence) Neimark and Margaret Avineri. Grandmother of Lisa (and David) Weiss, Aaron Neimark, Oren Avineri, Eitan Avineri, Tamar (and Tom) Castelloe and Netta Avineri. Great-grandfather of Isabella and Ethan Weiss. Brother of Thea (and Ralph) Zimmerman. Born in Berlin, Germany. Emigrated to Chicago in 1934. Served in the Army from 1943-1945. Earned numerous medals. Moved to California from Chicago in 2003. Services were held April 14 in Corona del Mar. Donations to American Society for Yad Vashem, 500 Fifth Ave., 42nd Floor, New York, NY 10110-1699 or National World War II Memorial, P.O. Box 96766, Washington, D.C. 20090-6766.
Morris, Ruth Perry. In Danville, April 18. Age 93. Wife of the late David Morris. Mother of Robert Morris and an infant daughter. Mother-in-law of Linda Glesser Morris. Grandmother of David (and Leslie) Morris and Michelle (and Philip) Conwiser. Great-grandmother of Jenna and Sarah Conwiser and Paris, Liberty and Victoria Morris. Native of Poland. Lived in Oakland, Napa and Danville. Owner of Roberta’s Women’s Clothing store in Napa for 53 years. Services were held April 20 at Home of Eternity Cemetery in Oakland. Donations to Hadassah, Attn: Fundraising Services, 50 W 58th St., New York, NY 10019-2500.
Teman, Zale E. In Los Altos, April 16. Age 69. Husband of Janet Teman. Father of Alan (and Evelyne) Teman, Howard Teman and Eric (and Lisa) Teman. Grandfather of Brandon, Jazz Benjamin, Tango Jake and Shane Teman. Brother of Marilyn Lewis. Native of Toledo, Ohio. A mechanical engineer. Retired from Raychem Corporation. Services were held April 19 at Temple Beth Jacob in Redwood City. Interment at Skylawn Memorial Park. Donations to Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California, 2065 W.
