Domestic violence summit set for S.F.
No, Jews don’t drink, break the law or engage in physical violence in the home. Simply doesn’t happen.
As much as members of the Jewish community would like to believe that the above issues don’t exist among them or are somebody else’s problem, Roselyne “Cissie” Swig is adamant that that’s the wrong attitude.
Swig founded Partners Ending Domestic Abuse, a consortium of 18 social service agencies, in 1991. This week, the initial Ending Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Summit, which she co-organized, will take place at the UCSF Medical Center.
At the invitation-only summit, for which Swig is also hosting an opening cocktail event, hundreds of professionals in the field will immerse themselves in workshops and courses.
