No joke — Kung Pao Comedy tickets on sale
Since so many Jews are going to be in Chinese restaurants on Christmas anyway, why shouldn’t they take in a comedy show as well?
Tickets are on sale for the 14th annual Kung Pao Kosher Comedy show on Friday, Dec. 22 to Monday, Dec. 25. The returning headliner is Cathy Ladman, with performances by Stephanie Blum, Dan Ahdoot and hostess Lisa Geduldig.
The dinnertime show will feature a seven-course meal ($60), and veggie egg rolls will be served at the cocktail show ($40). The fortune cookies will be filled with Yiddish proverbs. All ages are welcome (except for screaming babies).
The event takes place at New Asia Restaurant in San Francisco’s Chinatown, 772 Pacific Ave. Some of the proceeds will benefit the Jewish Home of San Francisco’s Esther Weintraub Comedy Clinic and the Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living’s Komedy Club and Library.
Tickets are available online at www.koshercomedy.com or by phone at (925) 275-9005.
