Weddings


Elisa Nicole Bavin, 22, and Michael Aaron Schick, 23, were married on July 2, 2006 at Palm Event Center in Pleasanton by Rabbi Robert Ourach of Fresno.

Elisa Bavin is the daughter of Terry and Roberta Bavin of Clovis. She received a degree in Global Economics from UCSC and presently works as an internal auditor for Grant Thornton in Kansas City.

Michael Schick is the son of Daniel and Dori Schick of Walnut Creek. He received a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UCSC and now attends Kansas City University of Medicine.

The couple met 5 years ago when both were counselors at Camp Newman.


Kristin Elizabeth Rozum and Mark Montague Weinberg were married on October 28, 2006, under a chuppah at the Limn Gallery in San Francisco. Rabbi Elisheva Salamo of Cotati officiated at the wedding ceremony. 

Kristin is the daughter of Marjorie Rozum of Richmond, Virginia and Dennis Rozum, also of Richmond. She is the granddaughter of Lois Everet, of Richmond. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from James Madison University. Kristin works at Sony Entertainment as a Producer of Video Games. 

Mark is the son of Matthew and Barbara Weinberg of San Francisco and Napa. He is the grandson of Blanche Weinberg of Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of San Francisco. Mark is a recording artist, now pursuing his career as a Record Producer and Songwriter. 

After their honeymoon on Kauai, the couple is living in Los Angeles.


Lisa Gigi Tabak and Jeffrey Biel Lipsett were married on October 29, 2006 at the Claremont Resort & Spa in Berkeley, California. Rabbi Mark Bloom of Temple Beth Abraham, Oakland and Rabbi James Moss Brandt officiated.

Lisa and Jeff are both native San Franciscans who graduated from UC Berkeley.

The bride is the daughter of Edith Tabak and George Tabak of San Francisco and the sister of Steven Tabak of Portland, OR.

The groom is the son of Judy and Allen (z’l) Lipsett and brother of Marc Lipsett (Liz Jaraslow) and Andrew Lipsett, all of San Francisco.

The bride completed a double masters degree from Brandeis University and is currently the Executive Director of The Jewish Community Foundation of the Greater East Bay.

The groom works as a real estate consultant.

The couple met in the Fall of 2004 and currently reside in San Francisco.
