Engagements

Marissa Nicole Bauman, daughter of Robin and Joe Bauman of Orinda and New York, and Cory Sherman Acree, son of Tina and Terry Acree of Watseka, Illinois have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be received her law degree from Syracuse University in 2006. She is the sister of Jason and Allison Bauman of New York. Grandparents are Rita and Alex Gilbert and Rose and the late Milton Bauman, all Florida residents.

Her fiance is a marketing coordinator at LoopNet in San Francisco. He is the brother of Brent and Amy Acree of North Manchester, Indiana. Grandparents are Aura and Sherman Bowen of Cropsey, Illinois and the late Alice and Wade Acree.

The couple met at Indiana University where both received their Bachelor’s degrees. A Spring ’08 wedding is planned in San Francisco.

Dr. Ron and Adele Ostomel of Moraga are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Ostomel, to Mark Vogel.

Dana is the sister of Dr. Todd Ostomel, granddaughter of Pola Silver and the late Sam Silver of Oakland, and the late David and Charlotte Ostomel of Portland, Oregon. Dana is a 1995 graduate of Campolindo High School and a 1999 cum laude graduate of University of California Los Angeles, with a degree in Communications. Dana is the Advertising Manager for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages responsible for the Northeastern United States and Canada.

Mark is the son of George Vogel and the late Faith Vogel of Toronto, Canada. Mark is the brother of Jason Vogel and grandson of the late Irving and Rose Hiller of Toronto. Mark is a 1994 graduate of the University of Western Ontario and a 1999 graduate of Georgetown University, with a Master’s Degree in Demography.

Mark is a Vice President with Data Development Worldwide, LLC, a market research firm. Dana and Mark both work and reside in New York City and met through a mutual friend.

Plans are underway for a winter 2008 wedding.
