Yom HaShoah events around the Bay


Susan Greenwald, Eva Bluestein and Ben Seradzki are among several Holocaust survivors and refugees to be honored at a Tuesday, April 17 remembrance event 6:30 p.m. at Oakland’s Temple Sinai, 2808 Summit St.

The evening is co-sponsored by the synagogue and Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay. For more information, call (510) 704-7480.

Saturday, April 14: Yom HaShoah observance with Panther Alier, a “lost boy” of Sudan. At Congregation Shomrei Torah, 1717 Yulupa Ave., Santa Rosa. 7 p.m. Free. (707) 578-5519.

“Rebuilding Our Lives: From Darkness to Light.” Sonoma County Yom HaShoah commemoration. At the Friedman Center, 4676 Mayette Ave., Santa Rosa. 2 p.m. Free. www.nershalom.org.
