Deaths


Marian Ruth Bader, in San Francisco on April 25, 2007 at age 96. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Bader. Loving mother of Alden (Deanna) Adolph Jr. Adored grandmother of Cheryl L. (Mike) Scannell and Michelle Adolph. Devoted great-grandmother of Trista Beauchamp and Danielle (Burt) Harris. Great-great grandmother of Amaya, Zoe and Noelle Mixon and Jayden Harris. Dear aunt of Gary (Judy) Bader and Noel (Barbara) Bader and like an aunt to Enid (Ron) Goodman.

Cryptside services were held at Salem Memorial Park, 1171 El Camino Real, Colma, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Monterey Jazz Festival Education Fund, P.O. Box Jazz, Monterey, CA 93942, Phone 831-373-3366.


Lotte Daus in Danville on April 24, 2007 at 92 years of age. A member of B’nai Brith and a volunteer at the Jewish Home in San Francisco.

Wife of the late Adolf Daus; mother of Kent (Bonnie) Wolfes; grandmother of Jennifer Wolfes. Donations in her memory may be made to Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living, 4000 Camino Tassajara, Danville 94506.


Frieda Leah Rocamora, 92, of San Mateo passed away April 18, 2007. She was born in Mount Vernon, New York to Pauline and Max Levine. Frieda moved to San Mateo in 1954 with her husband Edwin and two children. Edwin died in September of 1981. She is survived by her daughter Joyce Tobe Geller of Phoenix, (husband Earl) and son William (Bill) Stanley Rocamora (wife Linda) of Glendale, California, grandsons Bill Geller (wife Lynn) of Prague, the Czech Republic, Andrew Geller (wife Sarah) of South San Francisco, granddaughters Lisa Aliksanyan of Aptos, CA, Allison Rocamora of Portland, OR and Ellen Rocamora of Glendale, CA. Also great-grandchildren Jessica and Alissa Geller and Zachery Geller.

She has two brothers Irving Levine of New York and Milton Levine of Florida. She was known for her smile and always ready to listen to people. Never did she complain or gossip of others. Frieda was a homemaker but did retire after 25 years of working for Macys. We will always miss this very special woman who never asked but always gave.

Burial was in the family plot in Hawthorne, New York, on Monday, April 23, 2007. Donations to Guide Dogs for the Blind, 32901 S. Kelso Road, Boring, OR 97009 preferred.
