Moms look good for 100
For some lucky senior moms in Los Angeles, this Mother’s Day will be great-great-great.
On Sunday, May 13, L.A.’s Jewish Home for the Aging will stage the “Largest Mother’s Day Celebration in the World,” which includes a gathering of 14 centenarian mothers, ranging in age from 100 to 108.
Organizers expect the celebration to draw nearly 1,000 mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, great-great grandmothers and great-great-great grandmothers, as well as their descendants.
Founded in 1912, the Jewish Home for the Aging is the largest single-source provider of senior housing in Los Angeles. Nearly 1,000 women and men live at the 16-acre campus.
