Seeking Preschool Director/Head Teacher Beginning Fall 2007. Gan Shalom is a play-based preschool in a nurturing, home-like environment in central Berkeley. For 18 years, we have blended diversity and openness with a deep, joyous commitment to Modern Orthodox Judaism. We serve 25 children, ages 2.9 to 5 years. Qualifications: 12 ECE units, 3 administrative units, early childhood teaching experience, strong Judaic/Hebrew knowledge, supervisory/administrative experience, excellent communication skills. Candidates should be computer-literate, flexible, creative, able to work as part of a team with staff and families, and dedicated to nurturing Jewish spiritual and religious growth.
