deaths
While traveling through Fort Kent, Maine, Dr. Keith Kutner of McAllen, Texas, age 52, passed away suddenly. The beloved father of Robert and Sarah Kutner and loving son of Sol and Rosalind Kutner, he is also survived by his sister Susan (David) Rozakis. The devoted uncle of Lisa and Dan Rozakis and Rebecca and Brynn Hyman, he is also survived by many loving cousins, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by loving companion Martine Burkhardt and by canine companions Lylah and Creek.
It was with great pride that his family watched him walk across the stage upon attainment of his doctoral degree, and even greater pride when he formalized his lifelong joy of education by accepting a teaching position at South Texas College.
Keith was a member of the Boy Scouts and Sea Cadets, and was very proud of being an Eagle Scout, as well as being an officer in the Sea Cadets for several years.
The funeral services were held July 27 at the Hills of Eternity Memorial Park Chapel, 1301 El Camino Real, Colma. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Peninsula Humane Society or the Shaare-Zedek Hospital of Northern California.
