Community forum to explore interfaith dating

Is interfaith dating a real “community dilemma,” or is love just love, however you find it?

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is partnering with Bay Area young adult organizations to discuss interfaith and intercultural dating from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5 at the JCCSF, 3200 California St., S.F.

Event coordinators say the discussion will be “radically inclusive and explosively provocative,” and will focus on the intersection of dating, culture, religion, love and the joys and challenges of dating and finding a life partner.

Helena McMahon, a licensed therapist and the director of Interfaith Connection, will lead the discussion.

The event is free and open to the public.

X-rays of Israeli terror victims on display at Stanford

A stark reminder of the toll of terrorism will stop at Stanford on a national tour.

“Inside Terrorism: The X-Ray Project” consists of X-rays and CT scans of Israeli diners, pedestrians and bus riders following terrorist bombings. It will be up on display at Stanford’s Fairchild Auditorium from Sept. 4 to 14.
