Livni ranked 39th in the annual list, up one place from 40 in 2006. Galia Maor, president of Israel’s Bank Leumi, came in at 83, up from 88 in 2006.

Former Israeli resident Safra Katz, president of the software giant Oracle was the 21st most powerful woman, and Orit Gadiesh chairman of Bain & Co. consulting firm, another Israeli residing abroad, just made the list at number 98.
