Births


Gilda and Ephraim Margolin, beaming grandparents and Evan Margolin a happy uncle, announce the September 26 arrival of Jack Alexander Margolin. Jack’s parents are Alex Zeev Margolin and Deanna Hull. Jack is 8 pounds of naches, full head of brown hair, cries in 17 languages, charms in any language and resides in Corte Madera. He is Ephraim and Gilda’s first grandchild.

At birth, Jake received from Deanna’s boss, Michael Tilson Thomas, a sweatshirt “Reserved till 2020 for Barmitzvah.” Deanna is Tilson Thomas’s assistant.

Alex is a noted physical trainer in San Francisco. Evan is president of “Salsa Crazy” and Ephraim is an attorney, active in the Bay Jewish Community, past president of the Jewish Community Relations Council and member of Beth Shalom Temple, in San Francisco.


Madeline Zia Rothstein was born Dec. 5 to Jennifer Zagofsky and Gordon Rothstein. She is the sister of Jake, 2.
