Power of One on April 8

The Women’s Alliance of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation will host its annual Power of One dinner beginning 5 p.m. April 8 at the Hilton Hotel, 333 O’Farrell St., San Francisco.

The Power of One is a fundraiser for the federation’s Women’s Alliance and is usually attended by nearly 1,000 women from throughout the Bay Area.

The keynote speaker this year is the syndicated columnist Dear Abby — Jeanne Phillips.

Joelle Steefel of San Francisco, this year’s recipient of the Judith Chapman Memorial Women’s Leadership Award, will also speak.

Attendees are required to pledge a minimum individual gift of $365 to the federation’s 2008 annual campaign, payable by Dec. 31. There is also a $90 couvert.
