Engagements


Tom and Barbara Rauchwerger are very happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Adina Rauchwerger, to Brian Chaikelson, son of Mortie and Dorothy Chaikelson of Montreal.

Adina is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and received her Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She is the granddaughter of Edith and Bernard Holtz of San Francisco, and of Augusta and the late Ernest Rauchwerger of San Mateo. Brian received his computer engineering degree from McGill University in Montreal and works in high technology in San Francisco.

The Black Rock Desert at Burning Man was the site of Brian’s surprise proposal. A fall 2008 wedding is planned.

Erica Anne Stuart, daughter of Judie and David Stuart of Saratoga, California is engaged to Matthew David Sosnick, son of Victoria Zackheim of San Francisco, California and Ron Sosnick of Hillsborough, California. They are getting married on August 17, 2008 at the Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, California.

Ms. Stuart, 31, is the Senior Marcom Manager at Serious Materials, a sustainable building products company based in Sunnyvale, California. She graduated magna

cum laude from Boston University. She resides in San Francisco.

Mr. Sosnick, 38, is a sports agent at the San Francisco-based agency, Sosnick Cobbe Sports, a firm which he cofounded over 10 years ago. He earned his bachelor of science from the University of Southern California. Mr. Sosnick was the centerpiece of the 2005 book “License to Deal: A Season on the Run with a Maverick Baseball Agent,” written by ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick (Rodale Press). [Featured in the March 25, 2005 j. cover story, “Playing Hardball.”] He resides in San Francisco.
