The University of North Dakota will reimburse about a month’s worth of rent to a Jewish student who says he had to move out of his dormitory because of harassment.
Scott Lebovitz will receive about $460 for the cost of housing dating back to mid-March, school spokesman Peter Johnson said.
Lebovitz says his tormentors used anti-Semitic taunts and drew swastikas in the stairwell of the dorm where he lived.
UND President Charles Kupchella condemned the graffiti and called the incidents “abhorrent” and “mindless.” — ap
