The Turkish legislative body is informed that the access to the empire is expressly forbidden to Jewish immigrants.
The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society of America announces in New York the opening of a campaign for a million dollars to mitigate the suffering of Jewish pogrom victims. 50 years ago Sept. 13, 1946 In Paris, over French, Russian and Slav objections, a peace conference commission adopted a Romanian treaty clause designed to protect Jews and other minorities from future discrimination.
