AOL's Jewish site honored; 100,000 monthly `visitors'

The Jewish community site was launched on AOL in December 1995 by Marc S. Klein, the editor and publisher, and Nora Contini, the associate publisher, of the Jewish Bulletin of Northern California.

Since that time, it has become one of the most popular Jewish locations in cyberspace, attracting more than 100,000 individual visitors a month.

The Members' Choice award is prominently displayed on the Jewish community site at Keyword: JEWISH

Visitors to the Jewish site can find everything from holiday recipes to the latest news from Israel. One of the most popular features is Ask a Rabbi, where any AOL member can send a question via e-mail to a rabbi and receive a personalized response in a couple days.

America Online Inc., based in Dulles, Va., is the world's most popular Internet online service. Founded in 1985, it has a global workforce of almost 7,000 people.
