San Francisco Shorts Multimillion-dollar Haas funds gift will restore S.F. shoreline park

The Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund and the Colleen and Robert Haas Fund will jointly donate $10 million toward the restoration
The 100-acre park will stretch along San Francisco's Crissy Field waterfront from Marina Green to Fort Point at the base of the

Features will include a shoreline promenade, revitalized native dunes, an expanded beach, restored tidal marsh and trails, picnic areas and bike paths.

Construction is slated to begin this summer, with completion expected in 2000.
