Sonoma day school closes
The Jewish Day School of Sonoma County, which opened in 1993, closed its campus permanently because of lack of funds. The Santa Rosa school, which served kindergarten through third grade, finished its final session in May. Alan Steier, past schoo
The school sent much of its learning materials to Sholom School in Sacramento. Other items were put up for auction. The school's Hebrew-Judaica teacher, Ziva Trau, is continuing to teach Hebrew privately. She is teaching on the grounds of the old school.
